Fleet Oil & Fluid Service in Dallas, Fort Worth

Mechanic performing oil change at Accelerated Fleet Services

There are a wide variety of components within your heavy-duty truck that require oil or fluid for lubrication and cooling purposes. Whether you need basic maintenance or need to patch a leak, you’ll find high-quality fleet services here at Accelerated Fleet Services.

Components That Require Oil or Fluid

Heavy-Duty Transmissions

Your transmission optimizes the power coming from your engine. To keep your transmission at an adequate operating temperature, the fluid within it must be changed on a regular basis. At Accelerated Fleet Services, we offer transmission flushes and other related services to fleet managers in and around Dallas, Fort Worth. Whether you’ve got old transmission fluid that needs to be flushed out or just need a simple fluid change, you can count on us to get the job done.

The average transmission fluid change interval is anywhere from 30 to 60 thousand miles. This may change depending on what your truck is used for.

Transfer Cases

Does your heavy-duty truck have a powered front axle? If so, you most likely have a transfer case. Transfer cases allow for another primary driveshaft to be oriented towards a front axle, which in turn allows for extra traction and off road capabilities. Similar to your transmission in the sense that transfer cases need fluid for lubrication and cooling purposes, this fluid needs to be changed once every 30 to 60 thousand miles as well.

Heavy-Duty Diesel Engines

Your diesel engine uses oil to lubricate its inner components and coolant to lower the block’s temperature. Both fluids need to be changed out on a regular basis to avoid catastrophic failure. Engine oil in heavy-duty trucks is generally changed once every 20 thousand miles, and coolant is changed once every 60 thousand miles. These service intervals may change depending on what you use your truck for.

Differentials

Your differential has moving gears and, as such, requires lubrication to eradicate friction. This lubricant is spread between both your differentials and your axle shafts as they share the same housing. Gear oil needs to be changed out once every 30 to 60 thousand miles.
