Looking for a shop that performs trailer brake services for fleets of all sizes? Say no more! Accelerated Fleet Services is the shop you’ve been looking for! From air line maintenance to brake pad changes, you can count on AFS to have your back.
Air Brake Maintenance
Making sure your brakes are properly maintained is one of the best ways to proactively take care of your trailer. Over time, your brake pads will wear down and need to be replaced. Although your brake adjusters will make up for this wear, your brake pads will eventually become completely unusable. Other components to look out for include your airbags, which can leak or come in contact with road debris. They may also be affected by the weather, so be sure to routinely inspect them. At AFS, we offer services for every component of your air system, from pads to airbags and everything in between.
Air Line Inspection
In the colder winter months, airlines can freeze and fail to function properly. This damage is typically a result of moisture entering these lines, which in turn is a result of a malfunctioning air dryer. For those unaware, your air dryer is designed to remove moisture from your compressed air system to prevent this exact issue from happening. If your airlines freeze, they may break and cause your various air systems to malfunction. Components that use compressed air include your brake assemblies and your air suspension system.
Brake Pad Changes
When was the last time you changed the brake pads on your trailer brakes? If it’s been a while, or you’ve lost track of the miles you’ve put on them, we highly recommend coming in for service. We’ll measure your brake pads to see how much life they’ve got left, and if they need to be replaced, we’ll swap them out with a fresh set. Many presume that they’ll notice symptoms when their brake pad is worn down, but that doesn’t usually happen until they’re in really bad shape because your brake adjuster mitigates the wear and tear! Knowing when to change these brake pads is of the utmost importance. Most manufacturers recommend changing your brake pads once every 50 thousand miles.
